I thought this for some time, and then I came to a realization. A third grader COULD do better and probably WOULD. BUT! That's not the point. Now yes, I am a little bit vain, so striking it big with an amazing poem would be awesome, but if I never do that I shouldn't stop writing. My heart goes into these words, and although it could seem like I've vomited bad grammar onto a page and called it art, that vomit still came from my heart. (Gives a new meaning to heartburn. O.o)
So a third grader could do better, and I really wish they would, because then we would have so much art it would be amazing. But I don't want to write poetry, and don't need to write poetry, just to be good.
I have no idea where I'm goign with this now, more just I feel revitalized knowing that my poetry is bigger than good or bad (just like any other art) and that I've finally realized that.
